Where We're Going

The UVA Human Resources transition will occur in phases over several months and is designed to minimize disruption to current operations and allow HR professionals, as well as the faculty, staff, and team members they support, to acclimate to these changes.

This transition begins the fall of 2017 and will progress gradually until people, processes, and work are in place to support the new organization.

Workday is coming in January 2019!

Where We've Been

  • Phase 1 (December 2014 - August 2015): Focused on the goals of the project and creating the plan, getting key stakeholders on board, and selecting a technology solution
  • Phase 2 Design (September 2015 - June 2016): Extensive research and detail combined to design the future-state HR organizational structure, define services provided, and ensure continuous development and improvement of the organization
  • Phase 2 Implementation (July 2016 - January 2019): Execute the HR transformation and implement the new Workday technology solution
